Investing in the arts means investing in an industry that continues to provide community and economic benefits across Oklahoma. The Oklahoma study is part of Americans for the Arts' national study, Arts & Economic Prosperity 5 of FY 2015, and is led locally by Oklahomans for the Arts with a number of statewide partners.
While the fundamental benefits of arts and culture are how they inspire, delight, and unite us, direct economic impacts demonstrate the value of investing.
Spending by the arts and culture industry and their audiences supports 29,165 jobs in Oklahoma. The industry generated $46,397,000 in state and $38,107,000 in local government revenue.
